At South Ayrshire Stalking we control and manage the deer population over many thousands of acres extending across a large area of the South West of Scotland up to the edge of the Galloway hills.
We are surrounded by an area of renowned natural beauty with rolling hills and landscaped forests of mixed conifer and broadleaf to moorland edge. This gives our guests the opportunity to experience deer stalking over a wide variety of terrain from conifer forest to moorland edge.
We have a good population of Roe and Red deer; the latter attaining much larger weights than their hill counterparts. We are producing Roe bucks of medal class each year.
For guests who particularly want to experience red deer stalking we have access to large areas of Central Scotland and the Highlands, we also have limited access to Sika Stalking
Accompanied Stalking/Training Courses
Both of our stalkers are approved witness for the Deer Stalking Certificate (DSC ) Level 2, so we are able to offer stalking for the complete novice through to the experienced stalker wanting accompanied outings, we also train and assess for DSC Level 1.
Occasionally we are able to offer syndicate rifle vacancies for the more experienced stalker, this is done on an annual basis where you will have access to your own stalking ground.
We also offer and can arrange mixed sporting package and stalking of other deer species across Scotland and South of the Border, please contact us with your requirements.
