Stalking
At South Ayrshire Stalking we control and manage the deer population over many thousands of acres extending across a large area of the South West of Scotland up to the edge of the Galloway hills. It is an area of renowned natural beauty with rolling hills and landscaped forests of mixed conifer and broadleaf to moorland edge.
This gives our guests the opportunity to experience deer stalking over a wide variety of terrain from conifer forest to moorland edge. The predominant deer is the Roe, but we do have some very big Red Deer attaining much larger weights than their hill counterparts. We also have some Sika starting to move across in to our area.
For guests who particularly want to experience Red deer stalking we have access to a large estate in the Perthshire area.

Accompanied Stalking
Our stalker is an accredited witness for the Deer Stalking Certificate ( DSC ) Level 2, so we are able to offer stalking for the complete novice through to the experienced stalker wanting accompanied outings, we also train and assess for DSC Level 1.
Syndicate Stalking
We are also able to offer syndicate rifle vacancies for the more experienced stalker on an annual basis where you will have access to your own stalking ground.
Unaccompanied Stalking
Again for the more experienced or for the stalker who perhaps has recently achieved DSC Level 1 we can offer unaccompanied stalking where you will be allowed to stalk a forest to assist us with culling operations, usually in areas of vulnerable and young plantations.
